ROBERT YOUNGER was born in Philadelphia (1947). He received a BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art (1969). After spending the year 1969-70 in Italy on a Fulbright he returned to a year at the Yale Graduate School of Fine Arts (71-72). He received a New York State Council on the Arts Sponsored Projects Award (1986), and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (1982,1990). The Pollock-Krasner Foundation offered a Vermont Studio Center Residency (2013) that was followed by Joan Mitchell Foundation Emergency Funding (2013).
